Hi, I’m Adria

Equal parts seasoned working actor & collaborative coach for kick-ass actors like you

Yes, I’ve walked in your shoes

I’ve wanted to be an actress since I was a bright-eyed 6-year-old, and my grandma took me to Annie at the Fisher Theater in Detroit.

But my acting career has been far from linear.

From the outside, it might look like I’ve “made it.”

I’ve worked on Oscar-winning films, starred on buzzy TV shows, trained with the most respected coaches in the business, and built a career that many would call successful.

But the truth? I’m still learning. Still training. Still figuring it out — because the industry keeps changing, and what worked last year might fall flat today.

That’s what makes this work so thrilling — and so damn hard.

It’s also what makes me the kind of coach I wish I’d had: someone in it, not above it. Someone who’s still chasing excellence, not just coasting on old wins.

I coach from that place.

The place where instincts matter, craft matters, and honesty is a gift — not a weapon. Where we’re not just aiming to book the job, but to build a career that’s resilient, aligned, and alive.

And yes — my students have called my coaching “soul surgery.” But the kind that cracks you open just enough to finally let your talent breathe.

What actors are saying…

“I see Adria as a mama bear, protective of her actors, and students, wanting the best for them. Not  just as actors, but as creatives and people.”

“I have been in Hollywood for a very very long time and I have been through million acting classes and had a million coaches, and I have to tell you, Adria Tennor, in my opinion, is one of the best.”

“Adria has the intuition and empathy to read you like a book and point you in the right direction every time.”

“(Adria) knows exactly what you need to hear, when you need to hear it, to move in the right direction.”

“Adria is a Swiss Army Knife of an instructor.”

“With Adria, I don’t act with fear—I act with love, joy, and the desire to be fully human.”

“Adria set the tone for such a supportive class that I left feeling motivated again, like I could really do this.”

Emotional storytelling can change the world.

Now, let’s give that some context:

Back in grade school, I found history books dryer than the cafeteria chicken nuggets on Fridays.

So when I was reading about the Civil War the info would go in one eye ball and out the other.

But! The moment I watched Gone with the Wind, and felt the plight and love between Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler I UNDERSTOOD the Civil War in my BONES.

But to have this effect, we need to keep showing up as our true selves

Take it from someone who’s booked plenty of roles in iconic projects like Mad Men, The Artist & Friends, and produced award-winning films…

…I still keep refining my craft to give myself the best chance of landing that next gig.

What I love most?

Making this unique blend of industry street cred & emotional intuition your advantage
